Overview of Argus Community’s Services

Argus Community’s Mission is to provide innovative programs which help severely disadvantaged teens and adults to free themselves from poverty and drug abuse and build new lives based on work, hope, and responsibility.

Argus Community (Argus) is a community based multi-service agency providing direct services to populations in low-income and congressionally designated “disaster” areas for 50 years.

Our mission is to provide services in a safe and culturally sensitive environment while fostering self-sufficiency.

Services include: intensive chronic illness/HIV care management for children and adults; federally-funded Ryan White Part A medical and non-medical case management, and Status-Neutral Care Coordination including linkage to PEP and PrEP; HIV/HCV testing services;

Home and Community-Based Services including Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Prevocational Services, and Intensive Supported Employment; adult and adolescent substance use prevention services, outpatient and residential substance use treatment and medication-assisted therapy for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental illness, and medically monitored withdrawal and stabilization services; DWI screening and assessment services; mental health day treatment for individuals with co-occurring disorders; youth services including high school educational support, vocational training, internships, and job placement services; adolescent and adult literacy services including NYC Department of Education TASC and High School Diploma classes; adult money management and job placement services; legal and housing assistance; and other supportive services
